NEW EFIS UGRADE FAQ

Greetings!
Welcome to the F1 Rocketboy web site. This site chronicles my construction project of a Team Rocket F1 sport aircraft  (click here for F1 pictures), as well as the development of some special avionics systems.

As a result of the project, I needed to manufacture some special products to complete the job. I've decided to sell a few a few of these to help other builders, and finance my beer and information technologies budget, unfortunately, The market was pretty thin, not much stuff sold, So I had to discontinue the line of products and move onto other projects. I've left the sales page here for reading and entertainment. Hope you enjoy!

This aircraft was featured in magazine.

NEW EFIS UPGRADE

The Team Rocket F1 is a highly modified derivative of a Van's Aircraft RV-4. It features shorter wings, thick skins, WIDER cockpit and WAY more cubic inches under the hood (540). This F1 typically cruises at 234 MPH at 8500 feet burning 14 GPH. Economy cruise at 10,500 feet is 225.6 mph burning 11.9 GPH. On a cool morning, the F1 will climb out at over 3500 feet per minute with the help of it's 290+ horsepower engine.

Some of the Cosmic stuff is visible here including the Moving Map computer display, ECCS display module, Pitch Control Module and the very cool Blue Mountain EFIS lite. After nearly five years of reliable service, nearly all of this equipment is getting replaced for better stuff. Click the link above for for progress on the EFIS upgrade.
